This
is a map of our region, Erris, Co. Mayo in the West of Ireland. It is a
sparsely populated area but one of magnificent scenery. It is a coastal area
with the Atlantic Ocean to our left. It is mainly fishing and farming
community.
OUR SCHOOL: GEESALA NS
We
are a small primary school in a rural location .We have 51 pupils and
6 teachers with 2 ancillary staff. We
celebrated our 25th anniversary in 2007.

in the 1990s for Gaelic Football.

have also taken part in and won 2 flags in the International Green-Schools
Awards which our school is very proud.
